The callback mechanism AchievementManager had until now only supported
one caller registering a callback, and it didn't have any
synchronization. This isn't a problem for DolphinQt, but the PR to add
Android support for RetroAchievements exposes these problems. Let's
replace it with HookableEvent, which can handle all of this.
Refactors the PatchAllowlistTest to streamline the experience for developers. Instead of a textual description of what needs to change in ApprovedInis.json for RetroAchievements compatibility, the test will now generate a replacement file and instruct the coder where to copy it in their local branch, and what to update APPROVED_LIST_HASH to. The result should be easier and more instructive for developers to make changes, while still maintaining that allowed codes cannot be added or modified without recompiling Dolphin.
As ApprovedInis.json no longer needs to be user-readable for this process, it no longer contains titles or pretty formatting and as such is updated in this commit, hash included.
Add a method to detect console ID from an input file and instruct rcheevos to load as Gamecube or Wii accordingly. Also, hash .wads upon loading, to support achievements on WiiWare titles.
Prevent SetHardcoreMode from being called after m_client is set to
nullptr. rc_client_set_hardcore_enabled() checks for nullptr so this
didn't cause any problems, but better not to rely on that.
Also prevents multiple SetHardcoreMode callbacks from piling up when
repeatedly toggling Config::RA_ENABLED.
If the development system is started for a game with an unrecognized hash, RA_Integration opens a dialog for connecting the hash with a title. That dialog is prepopulated by the results of GameTitleEstimateHandler.
Refactors the AR/Gecko/Patch code approval process to verify from every possible game ini, not just the base game ID. This fixes codes on specific revisions or codes general to any region.
Adding a community-requested list of Gecko and Action Replay codes to the allowlist. Many of these codes were from the wiki and are being added to Dolphin's repo for the first time.
The primary focus of this PR is the Eternal Darkness patch which fixes hanging at startup, which prior to this fix makes Eternal Darkness unplayable in hardcore. The MHTri patch was added as well simply because it could be.
These patches were added in bde9a459cd
and enabled by default in 36ecfdd6b5.
They allowed the game to run in Dolphin but disabled dynamic shadows.
The game adds 4 to the start address of otherwise valid display lists
for no obvious reason. Now that Dolphin forces 32-byte alignment these
patches are no longer needed.
0c14b0c8a7 made Dolphin load a file from
the Sys folder the first time AchievementManager::GetInstance() is
called. Because Android calls AchievementManager::GetInstance() from
setBackgroundExecutionAllowedNative, this had two negative consequences
on Android:
1. The first time setBackgroundExecutionAllowedNative gets called is
often before directory initialization is done. Getting the path of
the Sys folder before directory initialization is done causes a crash.
2. setBackgroundExecutionAllowedNative is called from the GUI thread,
and we don't want file I/O on the GUI thread for performance reasons.
This change makes us load the data from the Sys folder the first time
the data is needed instead. This also saves us from having to load the
data at all when hardcore mode is inactive.
We mustn't use m_system when it is nullptr. This was causing Dolphin to
crash on Android whenever an activity was recreated or resumed while
emulation is running, which is super common.
Prototype of a system to whitelist known game patches that are allowed to be used while RetroAchievements Hardcore mode is active. ApprovedInis.txt contains known hashes for the ini files as they appear in the repo, and can be compared to the local versions of these files to ensure they have not been edited locally by the player. ApprovedInis.txt is hashed and verified similarly first, with its hash residing as a const string within AchievementManager.h, ensuring ApprovedInis and the hashes within cannot be modified without editing Dolphin's source code and recompiling completely.
